Marion, IL, December 16, 2016–For the second year, Egyptian Board of REALTORS® members raised $3,250 to purchase Christmas gifts for the children of families in the Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless program.
The non-profit organization covers the 24 southernmost counties in Illinois. S.I.C.H has 32 families in the program, many of them are homeless. The families are working with S.I.C.H. to improve their housing situation and often do not have the extra money to purchase gifts for their children. The funds will go to provide a Full Stocking for the 34 children in the program, picked out by their parents.
“It is our way of saying to our communities, REALTORS® CARE,” Egyptian Board of REALTORS® Association Executive, Charay Palmer said.
Over the next week, S.I.C.H will take each family shopping to purchase gifts for their children with the funds donated by E.B.O.R members.
