Egyptian Board of REALTORS® participated in the first ever Southern Illinois Made Expo over the weekend. The two day event was held July 28 and 29 at the Pavillion in Marion, IL.
Businesses showcased products and destinations available in Southern Illinois. It was made possible through a cooperation effort between Egyptian Board of REALTORS®, State Senator Dale Fowler and Southern Illinois Chambers of Commerce and other area partners.
Egyptian Board of REALTORS® presented a $5K check, provided through a commercial innovation grant, to the cause in May to help underwrite costs of the event. Many EBOR members also volunteered their time to help work the event.
“It was a great event. There were vendors here that I didn’t even know existed,” EBOR Association Executive, Charay Palmer said.
All proceeds from admission and exhibitor fees went to benefit Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois. The final amount collected for the organization has not been released at this time, however according to Senator Dale Fowler, the goal of $10,000 was acceded before the event occurred.
